Learning how to provide oxygen is easy and the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider program is the perfect way for a diver to learn how and when to provide oxygen to someone suffering a medical emergency, particularly a diving emergency.

A ½ Day course which focuses on application and scenario practice
Course contents
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of a dive injury.
- Know benefits of providing oxygen to an injured diver.
- Know and List the potential hazards of working with oxygen.
- Know and list the component found in the Oxygen unit.
Scenario Practice:
Demonstrate the use of each mask option for breathing and non-breathing divers using
- Demand valve
- Non-re-breather mask,
- Pocket mask with oxygen inlet
- Manually triggered resuscitation valve
Pre-requisites
Though suited for divers, this course has no prerequisites and doesn’t include dives, which means it is equally applicable to those who are around divers – boat crew, non diving buddies, lifeguards, and shore staff. You don’t need any previous CPR or first aid training to take the course
