The
next step?………..Technical
Diving
2DiVE4 offer a full range of technical
diving courses through TDI (Technical
Diving International) from nitrox
to trimix and rebreather courses.
We have all been taught the maximum
depth for recreational/sport diving
is 40 metres. Whilst this is a safe
limit for the general population
of sport divers it is still only
scratching the surface of the underwater
world. Recreational/sport diving
uses ‘No Decompression Limits’,
which allow a diver to ascend to
the surface at any time during their
dive. To go deeper we must move in
to the realm of technical diving.
Our TDI courses train divers to
go to depths beyond the recreational
limits whilst making decompression
stops to allow nitrogen to leave
the body before they ascend to the
surface. This can be easily understood
by imagining a roof above our heads
that we cannot go above until a certain
amount of time has passed. This is
known as the Ceiling. This means
that the diver cannot ascend straight
to the surface without completing
all his decompression stops, which
vary in depth and time.
As you step into the technical diving
world you will find a slight difference
in equipment needs.
2DiVE4 can advise you on what you will need to begin with and progress with,
through your technical diving adventure.
We can also supply, set up and configure
your equipment to match you specific
needs and also spend a day diving
with you to help you orientate yourself
with your new equipment.
