PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Course - £169
The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course is a two-part (Level One and Level Two) introduction to digital underwater photography centred around today's compact digital cameras. The course helps student divers develop the knowledge, skills and practical techniques necessary to obtain excellent photographs with a digital camera, even on their first photo dive.
Course Overview
Level One:
- equipment needed to take great underwater photographs
- how to prepare underwater photo systems
- basic underwater photo techniques while diving in an environmentally friendly manner
Level Two:
- file formats
- resolution settings
- making images lighter and darker
- getting good colour
- composing the photograph
- downloading photographs to computers and adjusting them to look their best
The goals of PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Speciality training are:
- Understand and apply basic principles of the art and science of photography including exposure, focus, strobe photography, available light photography, camera-handling techniques and composition
- Select, prepare, care for and maintain underwater photographic equipment
- Take underwater photographs that are properly composed, focused and exposed
Course Duration
Independent study and completion of knowledge reviews
confined and open water dives
Pre-requisites
- You must be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organisation
or
be a snorkeler
- Be 10 years of age or older
- Complete a medical statement attached to our booking form
