PADI Search & Recovery Diver Specialty Course - £169
This course is designed to be an introduction to search and recovery diving and to help the student diver develop the necessary skills and knowledge for safe search and recovery diving.
Course Overview
- the planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of search and recovery diving
- limited-visibility diving and underwater navigation techniques
- proper techniques and safety considerations for object location, including the use of various search patterns, lines and reels
- proper techniques and safety considerations for recovery of objects using various lifting devices
The goals of PADI Search and Recovery Diver training are:
- to develop the student's practical knowledge of search and recovery diving
- to enable the student to plan, organise and make search and recovery dives
Course Duration
Independent study and completion of knowledge reviews
4 open water dives
Pre-requisites
- You must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Junior Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifiying certification from another training organisation OR be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver with a PADI Underwater Navigator Speciality Diver or having qualifying certifications from another training organisation.
- Be 12 years of age or older
- Complete a medical statement attached to our booking form
