Earlier this year I had some time off of work and decided that I wanted to learn a new skill and hobby. I decided upon Scuba Diving and set about finding how to gain my PADI qualifications. After googling Diving Schools in Essex the first couple I tried could not accomodate me in the short time frame I had before I was due to go on holiday. That is before I tried Steve, from 2Dive4, based near Stansted Airport in Essex, about 30 miles from me. In the space of a couple of days a PADI Open Water educational pack arrived at my house, and a couple of days later one of Steve's colleagues, from 2Dive4, arrived, at my house, in order for me to complete the theory exams. Two days after that, being fortunate enough to have access to a pool, I completed my Confined Water exams, , again at my house, so that all I needed to do on holiday was complete my 4 open water dives to qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver. Steve and all the people at 2Dive4 couldn't have been more helpful, and showed a degree of flexibility to arrange a bespoke package for me that no other diving school I contacted, in Essex, seemed able or willing to do. Since then, I have developed my PADI skills and bought my diving equipment from 2Dive4, not only buying at very competitive prices, but also benefitting from Steve's advice; he never tries to sell me more than I need. Additionally, although I am yet to dive in the UK, via the club news letter, I know that 2Dive4 offer a full range of PADI qualifications here, as well as organising many social diving trips both in the UK and abroad. They also offer club nights where like minded people can enjoy a social evening out in Essex. For anyone looking to gain PADI qualifications, learn to dive, continue to develop their diving experience or buy kit I would thoroughly recommend 2Dive4 as the place to go.

Last year my son bought me for Mothers Day a PADI try dive with our local Essex Dive Centre - 2Dive4.He is a very keen diver and knowing how much I like the water thought it would be a perfect present. After some initial hesitation I became really keen to take on a new skill and really wanted to see the wildlife underwater for myself. My husband Anthony was also very keen and we both signed up for the Open Water course with 2Dive4. What an experience! We both felt very safe and in good hands with the very friendly PADI instructors who were not only very competent but also very patient. We both passed our Open Water Course and wished that we had attempted this years ago. It is now great to finally go for a dive when we go on holiday and see the fantastic world underwater. I completed my PADI open water course on 29/8/2010 and what a great experience. The classroom session at the 2Dive4 shop was very informative although sometimes intense but had a nice steady learning pace. When we moved into the swimming pool we had our first hands on session with the scuba diving equipment which again was at a nice steady pace. When in the pool all the PADI diving instructors were first class and I always felt that I was in safe hands. On the second weekend we moved to Gildenburgh all the 2DIVE4 equipment was to a very good standard with even more great PADI instructors. After passing the open water diver course I bought my mask, fins and boots at the 2DIVE4 shop John gave me some good advice regarding the equipment, and a discount. I wish I started diving years ago but now I've started I will continue with more PADI courses.

came across 2Dive4 a couple of years ago when trying to find cheap weights, ever since then most of my diving has revolved around them, even though Essex is a fair distance from me. I've been on their well organised holidays to Farnes, Scapa Flow and the Red Sea, I attend their monthly dive club meetings at Stoney Cove when ever possible, and often go on weekend coastal trips which are organised by 2Dive4 groupies. There's a fair number of people in the Dive Club, so the social side of 2Dive4 is pretty good too. The staff and instructors are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. No question, however mundane, goes without a thoughtful answer. I haven't done any PADI courses with them, but I did do my TDI Advance Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course with them. This was hard work, but highly enjoyable, mainly due to the instructors manner. I came away feeling that I had learnt a lot, and properly earned the ticket. I'd definitely recommend 2Dive4 to anyone from Essex, or surrounding areas, who is after advice, scuba equipment, PADI courses, TDI courses, or just social diving.

2Dive4 came to our home to teach myself and my family the first part of the PADI OPEN WATER. We couldn't have asked for anything more. They were fun, patient (I was scared), extremely good teachers and just lovely people to be around. All the equipment was as new. The younger ones finished their course with the club in a pit, which they loved. We bought all our kit from them with our instructors help, and they booked our diving holiday for us. I have just booked a refresher couse with them, and know I will be totally prepared on my next dive holiday. I just can't reccomend them enough, and you can build your whole social life around diving and their company!

Some years ago I did a PADI Open Water course with 2DiVE4 which was provided in a very professional way. Having had a break from Diving for many years after learning with a different company, I enrolled with 2DIVE4 on a SCUBA Diving course in ESSEX three years ago. Since then I have made friends with some wonderful members of the team, and other members, due to the companies good social diary and frequent informal parties and functions at nearby pubs. I did all my courses with 2DIVE4, intending to mostly dive abroad, but the company caters for every type of diving imaginable at all levels. Some of the best UK diving I have ever done was in the Farne Islands, a trip that 2DIVE4 organises every year. Last year they sold out all 4 trips, and many of the holidays organised sell out very quickly and so bookings have to be made early to avoid missing out. The popularity of the dive trips is down to the good relationships with dive companies and tour operators, and 2DIVE4 often go back to the same firms time and again due to the success of previous trips. I missed out on the Shark diving liveaboard in 2009, but having been on a 2DIVE4 liveaboard in 2008, I have secured a space on this June's trip to Egypt, which sold out within days of being advertised. The shop has become an unofficial dive club, due to the way it has evolved over the years. and regulary updates customers by email on forthcoming trips, events and if someone is looking for a buddy at one of the monthly meeting points, now Stoney Cove. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to come along and either learn to dive with the highly experienced crew, or renew their passion for diving on one of the many trips abroad

I wanted to get into scuba diving ever since I can remember but I never seemed to find the time or the right people to get involved, that all changed when my wife got me a voucher for my birthday from the Essex 2Dive4 scuba diving centre, I spent it on a PADI Open Water Diver Course. My introduction and theory started with the lovely Nicki, even at the theory I was a bit nervous but Nicki was excellent at making us feel welcome and comfortable anything that you felt unsure she would make sure we would not move on until we all understood. My first dive was in the John Warner Sports Centre pool with Laura and Geoff once again excellent tuition and any fears soon disappeared, very professional. In fact they got me so hooked with my first dive that as soon as I got home I booked the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. My first open water dive at Gildenburgh took my breath away I just wished I had taken up the sport years ago. Laura once again was fantastic with the training I felt comfortable with the pace of the training and never felt out of my depth (pardon the pun). I honestly would recommend 2Dive4 to anyone who wishes to take up the sport a very friendly professional team extremely knowledgeable in all aspects, they even have the gorgeous scuba to keep the kids occupied while you check out all the gear in the shop.

Having wanted to dive for years, I was recommended 2Dive4 in Essex by my local dive club. I knew I would be a fair weather diver, so rather than doing the whole PADI Open Water Course, 2Dive4 allowed me to do the initial Scuba Diving training with them in a local pool, so that a month later on holiday I could complete the course in much warmer waters! The tuition I received from 2Dive4 was superb. Everything was explained very clearly and every step was demonstrated to us so we could see exactly what we had to do. They made what could have been quite a daunting experience into a really fun and enjoyable way to spend a weekend. As well as the fantastic teaching, their aftercare has been second to none as well. They have kept in touch and have been on hand to answer any questions I may have had as well as tempt me with some of the fantastic diving holidays that they regularly organise! I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone thinking of either taking up diving for the first time, or developing their diving skills. A big thanks to Steve and Nicki for opening my eyes to the wonders of the sea!

I have just completed the open water padi scuba course, which was run by 2dive4, who are based in Stansted in Esssex. The PADi course was run over 2 consecutive weekends. I found the course well structured and was easy to follow. Any apprehensions I had quickly disappeared thanks in the main to the two excellent 2dive4 instructors Laura and Ali. The initial part of the course was held in a local swimming pool, where Ali patiently took the three of us in my group through the basics skills of scuba. All the equipment we needed was provided by 2dive4 and very quickly we were mastering the various skills underwater. Weekend 2 was held at Gilmour quarry. It seemed very different to the swimming pool, but again my fears were short lived. Before I had time to realise, I was on my first dive and was diving in and around a red bus!! I did passed my PADI open water course and now will be able to dive in many more exotic locations. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at 2dive4 for a very enjoyable couple of weekends and look forward to many more exciting scuba diving experiences. Kind regards Scott

We wanted a dive shop and PADI approved dive centre in Essex or Suffolk so my whole family could get in to scuba diving. What a find in 2Dive4! Steve, Nikki and the rest of their team run a fantastic operation and have now taken my youngest through Seal Team and advanced Seal Team, my 16 year old through PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water and me through these and a range of other PADI Speciality courses. Their approach to supplying us with equipment has always been professional and with seemingly endless patience, even loaning us pieces of their own kit to help us in making our choices, Their whole approach is about a long term relationship with customers and as a consequence we continue to dive regularly with this friendly lot at Club Days and regular Dive Trips. I always feel safe when I'm in the water with these guys and what's more important I always feel confident when my kids are diving with any of the 2Dive4 team. Professional, Friendly and great fun to be around - as I say, the perfect balance

They are a 5 star PADI shop which caters for everything you want from the buying and hiring of kit to basic diving courses up to TDI Tech courses to topping up your tanks. Throughout all the training i have done they have always remained totally professional and friendly and always make all aspects fun. I have been to a few shops in Essex but have found 2Dive4 to be the most knowledgeable diving center in the county. As a fair weather scuba diver I brought all of my scuba diving gear from them. Did a couple of Padi Courses as well. Great service @ 2Dive4 pursuade me to buy from them. I came across these guys almost by accident when looking for somewhere to do my PADI Open Water referral course as I was just thinking about scuba diving for my holiday. They were brilliant with everyone in the class. I honestly don't think they have any bad instructors!! I liked them so much that I upgraded to the full open water course. I have since done my advanced open water on holiday and am hoping to do some PADI speciality courses with them this year. Maybe in the future they might even make me into a Divemaster. 2Dive4 did the impossible they got my wife to take the PADI Open Water Course and then trained her so well that she now drags me 'the keen one' to everything to do with diving. The course was excellent, with a friendly and very knowledgeable instructor with the latest Scuba diving equipment from 2Dive4's Essex shop. The course was the right mix of home learning, teacher lead learning and practical skills. Our first dives once were were qualified were with the one of the dive clubs in the Maldives where the Dive masters were very complementary of our skills and the teachers who had instructed us. So we think 2Dive4 of Essex is the best Scuba Diving Center around and would not think twice about recommending them to anyone thinking of doing the Open water course or one of the many other Scuba Diving courses they run. The try dive is a great intro!

Based in Essex, 2Dive4 are a very helpful and friendly group of dive professionals who offer the best training facilities in the southeast offering the full range from beginner and all the PADI recreational courses right up to advanced PADI courses for instructors. They also specialize in all the TDI Technical diving courses with access to all the training and diving facilities throughout the UK. The shop is well stocked and 2Dive4 enjoy successful relationships with all the major manufacturers including O-Three, Apeks, ScubaPro, Poseidon and Halcyon to name but a few. I have done all my PADI training with 2Dive4 and am doing my Dive Master at present. I have been very impressed by their vast expertise, enthusiastic approach to teaching, patients and superb motivation which gives both the beginner and advanced scuba diver confidence and enthusiasm. I would not hesitate in recommending 2Dive4 to all scuba divers whether as a beginner or an advanced diver. Keep up the excellent work

2Dive4 is a superb Scuba Diving shop and club, I'm really glad that I found them! Specialist in all PADI Open Water, Advanced, Professional and Speciality Courses (PADI Dry Suit Course, PADI Navigation Course, PADI Nitrox Course, PADI Wreck Diving Course, PADI Deep Diving Course, to name but a few). The technical training is pretty cool too - even giving occasional free twinset try dives to those that are not sure whether to take the step into TDI technical diving. I'd looked around for a few clubs, and found a couple that were really cliquey and not overly inviting, then I found an absolute gem in 2Dive4 in Essex. Ever since the first time I popped into the shop, they have remembered my name, a touch that really demonstrates the personal level of service that they give. Even Scuba, the club dog is full of slobbery excitement! They are a really great bunch of people, a pleasure to dive with, professional to the extreme, and reasurring to know you're in a safe pair of hands. Having since moved to West London, I'll still be making the effort to head up to the shop and continue my DiveMaster training, I know that it will be well more than worth it.

Based on the Essex/herts border close to Stansted airport they are easy to get to and their shop has a wide and extensive stock of equipment at very competitive prices and what they do not have they will provide very quickly. I have been impressed with the tuition on courses I have completed and have been very happy and confident to recommend them to friends and other dive buddies. Dive days and trips are frequent, well organised and everyone is made to feel very welcome. I would not consider using another club in my area as 2Dive4 provide everything needed & more!! Based in Essex my son and I have completed most of our PADI and all of our TDI training with 2dive4. It would be difficult to find a more professonal, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable bunch of people in a dive centre and belive me I tried before meeting Steve and Nikki. The prices in the shop are competitive it is well stocked and after buying most of our equipment from them including everything from wetsuits to twinsets I can say their after sales service is second to none.Holidays and UK dive trips are always well run and great fun for both the beginner and advanced scuba diver. 2Dive4 is in a really easy and accessible scuba diving centre to get to in Essex. For me the excellent value for money, frequency of the courses from Tri-Dives to PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced and PADI Speciality courses such as Dry Suit, Navigation and Nitrox, the knowledge and experience of the team and the range of equipment available from scuba masks, fins, gloves, wetsuits through to the top end equipment has me coming back for more and more. 18 months ago I would never have dreamt of going out in the cold never mind jumping into British sea and lake waters in December!! The friendly team, scuba diving trips, club days and whole experience of Scuba diving with 2Dive4 just makes me smile and want to keep reaching for my Scuba kit bag and car keys... keep up the excellent work

Steve, John and Nikki simply run a wonderful dive shop with the full range of PADI courses including the new TEC/REC in addition to the established TDI advanced nitrox and decompression procedures; and I am currently greatly looking forward to the newly available SDI solo diver course! Their training is fun and never pushy - the staff all want to help you determine what sort of diving you are interested in rather that steering you to their favourite stuff (which I have experienced elsewhere). The shop is well stocked with all the major kit items and lots of the smaller really useful nik-naks - and with the shop being so well located for London Stansted Airport has certainly made my life easier for that must have overseas trip item. In three words: "2 dive 4"!

Having past my Padi open water in St Lucia, I came back to England wanting to continue diving and after looking around a few shops I found 2dive4. From the ofset they were friendly and took a real interrest in me and what iwanted from the sport. The advice and knowledge about kit was brilliant offering honest opinions and not just trying to push expensive kit on you. I have since bought all of my kit from them including apeks xtx regulators, scubapro bcd and O'three drysuit (my favourite piece of kit). Their instructors on their Padi courses are exceptional (having done my advanced open water and drysuit speacialty course with them) and very proffesional I will certainly choose them to do my Padi rescue diver. It's my favourite shop and I even joined their dive club which operates once a month and is filled with really friendly divers.

I had my very first try dive when I was on holiday, and when I came back I knew I just had to learn to dive. I found this wonderful shop called 2Dive4 in Essex, so off I went to find out more information on what to do next. Well what can I say - I signed up for the Open Water Scuba Diver and loved it so much that after that I just had to do the Advanced Scuba Diver, Deep Scuba Diver, Dry Suit Diver and Nitrox. Not only are the team at 2Dive4 fully experienced professionals, but they are helpful and take a genuine interest in you. I was able to buy all of my kit from the shop including regulators, wetsuit, and Othree drysuit. My partner & I have been to Farne Island with 2Dive4 and dived with the seals which was an amazing experience. Between the diving courses, trips and professionalism you could not ask for a better experience than 2Dive4 in Essex. Oh and not forgetting the lovely Labrador dog who greats you when entering the shop called.... you guessed it scuba

I was still keen to pursue the sport of diving but wanted a more friendly club enviroment within Essex where I was not treated as just the next person to get money from. The whole experience with this company cannot be faltered, whether it's buying kit / Instruction / Advice / Servicing kit, absolutely first class I have done a few course's with 2Dive4 and I have to say they were excellent, but by far the best so far was the Rescue Divers Cse - the course content was excellent and was delivered by two very professional affable instructors. I have been on Dive trips too which have been awesome - a must is the 'liveaboard trips'. Ive dived with many clubs abroad and you get to appreciate what makes a good club. 2Dive4 are friendly, safe, fun, safe, confidence-building, safe, professional and safe. I first came in contact with 2DiVE4 when my children bought me a PADI Open Water diving course for my birthday. They are great. After only one session with the friendly and expert tutor I was hooked! I went on to do my PADI Advanced Open Water course with them, and now my only problem is finding the time to dive! The shop is well stocked and friendly, with expert advice from Steve, John and the others always available. Even though I am still very much a beginner at this sport, I am always made to feel welcome and part of the scene. Thoroughly recommended!‎

I found 2Dive4 via Google when I wanted to do my first ever Scuba training in early 2009. I love good, friendly, knowledgeable service which Steve & the team have always delivered when I've used them. Post service, they don't ping you with too many of those annoying emails which others always send. If you're looking for a dive shop or to learn scuba in the Essex area I'd always send you in their direction.

2DiVE4 are the friendliest SCUBA training centre and DIVE SHOP in the world based in Stansted, ESSEX. When my daughter and I did our OPEN WATER referral course they made the course so easy and prepared us very well for our trip to Sharm. I even got 100% in the exam and my 14 year old daughter passed with flying colours. As a 5 star PADI DIVE CENTRE they are experts in the PADI system, very helpful, knowlegeable and most of all patient. I have purchased all my DIVE GEAR at 2DiVE4 and they have continued to provide first class support and advice to me, my daughters and my friends. The SERVICE centre is first rate and they always deliver on time. The dive centre hound, SCUBA, is also a very good member of staff and always willing to fetch things for you (as long as you throw them first!)

2DiVE4 is a great Scuba training centre in Stansted, ESSEX. They do PADI and TDI etc and they have all the right courses, from Open Water course right through to Instructor training. I am based in Herfordshire which they serve. I have done many courses with them, including PADI dry suit diver, PADI Rescue Diver. I did my Emergency First Response with 2DiVE4 and it was the best first aid training so far. Other courses have been really dull and I struggled to remember things, but there it was more relaxed and I felt I could learn. The team are all very proffessional yet, relaxed and friendly. They are very supportive and encouraging and never pressurising. They really helped me get into the Diving scene in the UK. The shop is always well stocked with all the good brands and everything I have bought from has been fantastic. My O'Three Drysuit is the best purchase I have made. My Scubapro Marin mask is prbably my next favourite.

Did my Padi open water scuba diver course with 2DIVE4 after a recommendation. I must say i was so impressed with the staff, venue, and level of knowledge at 2DIVE4. The shop in essex is fully stocked and the staff at 2DIVE4 are very helpful. After completion of the course, i had to take the PADI ADVANCED COURSE, for me there was no other choice than 2DIVE4 for this. I used the shop in essex for all of my gear, the staff are excellent and have years of expertise to share with you at 2DIVE4. All in all i really feel 2DIVE4 are a cut above the rest when it comes to PADI dive courses and i will continue my training with 2DIVE4 in the future without doubt. There is so much more on offer from 2DIVE4, so for anything scuba, make the essex 2DIVE4 shop your choice for an easy going, relaxed, fun way to train for underwater adventure. 2DIVE4 are the ideal place to learn to scuba dive in Essex or further afield. I thoroughly enjoyed my PADI OPEN WATER course it was rigorous but friendly and fun with knowledgable confident and friendly staff .I would recommend anyone wishing to learn to scuba dive, requirng a refresher course or wanting advice or equipment to go to 2DIVE4. They also run regular and excellent scuba diving trips at reasonable prices in the UK and abroad. I have no hesitation in recommeding 2DIVE4 for all scuba diving needs. The shop and website are well equiped serving scuba divers in Essex and further afield both are well worth a visit.

2 Dive 4 are a very friendly dive school/shop, and I recommend them without hesitation for anyone interested in learning to dive with PADI or if moving into technical diving with their range of TDI scuba courses. They also run excellent dive trips in UK and abroad. My son needed a drysuit, and being a lanky teenager at the time finding a suit to fit was difficult, but not too much trouble for 2D4, unlike other local shops we visited at the time. The service we received impressed me so I returned and continued training though Divemaster, Assistant Instructor and onto technical diving.

I did my PADI Open Water Course with 2Dive4 last year and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not a hugely confident swimmer? Think you'll be bamboozled by the science? Fear not, everything is explained simply and clearly and by the time you're in the water you've forgotten you were ever worried about anything. I have total confidence in all the staff - they've helped with everything from which bit of kit suits me best to planning an amazing scuba diving holiday and they are all boundlessly enthusiastic. It was a great pleasure to deal with the folks at 2Dive4 when I decided to return to scuba diving after a 15 year break. 2Dive4 provided sound advice on upgrading my PADI certificates and how to go about getting my advanced open water. I thoroughly enjoyed the Nitrox and Navigation courses which they ran. I was very happy to have 2Dive4 fully kit out the four members of my family including two young teenagers. Very helpful and friendly and certainly the best dive shope I've come across in Essex.

I have Become a Divemaster under 2Dive4, I have met and made lots of new friends, staff and students alike from the course. I have completed 2 TDI Courses with them as well. I have also bought kit and received good advice from the very experienced staff. As dive centres go this is one of the best in the area, the shop is open when it says it is, unlike some others I wont mention, has a good supply of stock and the prices are very reasonable.

A fantastic PADI approved Scuba Diving shop and training centre. I did both my Open Water and Advanced Open Water with 2Dive4, any refresher days and they once ran a delayed SMB course just for me!
