About Porthkerris

Porthkerris is truly the divers gateway to the infamous MAGICAL MANACLES. As the name suggests the Manacles have the reputation of being the most spectacular reef on the entire South Coast. There have been more than 100 recorded shipwrecks in this relatively small area. Even large ships which should have been many miles off-shore seem to have been almost magnetically drawn to this sprawling and quite lethal mass of rocks.

Dive Trip Details

This dive trip is run over 2 days and 2 nights in which we plan to make a couple of boat dives each day from Porthkerris Divers 'Celtic Cat' catamaran. Both nights we will spend at a local B&B sampling the local food & brew and begin our journey home the following morning after a hearty breakfast.

We plan to leave at 4am to get into Porthkerris at around 10:30am For our return journey we plan to leave Porthkerris at around 10a.m. on the final day after a hearty breakfast.

N.B. You will need 2 cylinders for the boat dive as the boat does not return to shore between dives.

Minimum Experience Required

• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification (or equivalent)
• 20 Logged Dives
